Mechanisms for Swing Gates
In contrast to sliding gate mechanisms, swing gate arms are more challenging to install and require precision and adherence to the manufacturer’s guidelines.
ELECTRICAL WIRING PLAN FOR DOUBLE LEAF OPENING MECHANISMS AND ACCESSORIES
In the first place, it is imperative that the installation of the mechanisms for the opening doors be supervised by an authorized service center to verify the conditions required for the mechanisms to operate smoothly and without problems. It is advisable for the customer to contact us before ordering the door or during its design phase so that we can resolve all differences and requirements together and propose the most suitable solution. It is common for customers to come to us with completed doors that have not considered the requirements of the mechanisms or the dimensions required, or even have completely unsuitable doors where a mechanism cannot be installed.
Do not rely on the door manufacturer, as they may not be knowledgeable about mechanisms. Come to us before construction to jointly design the door.
Requirements - Mechanism selection criteria
The most important requirements we need to pay attention to are distances X (from 13cm to 30cm) and Y (from 13cm to 30cm), so that our mechanisms can achieve the required angles, apply proper pressure to our door, and operate correctly and smoothly. Generally, supports are required for mounting the mechanisms.
Each mechanism has its own requirements. When the manufacturer’s requirements are not met, the mechanism operates with difficulty, and its wear and tear will be accelerated.
A significant criterion for selecting a mechanism is the morphology of the door. The length and weight are the most important criteria, followed by the design of the door. A different mechanism will be installed on an open door with a design, and a different one on a blind door that does not ventilate. We might have a light door with a length of 2.00m, but it is blind and requires a much larger mechanism than initially planned because air pressure makes it difficult to close and open the door.
OPEN GRILLE GATES
CLOSED GRILLE GATES
It is also good that the door has a lip on the primary leaf while it is necessary to place a mechanical stop on the door closing otherwise the mechanisms will not press and you will confuse the board because it will not have the same closing reference point.
Swing gate mechanisms are specified for residential or intensive-industrial use and are categorized based on length and weight. LOWEDOORS collaborates with many renowned foreign manufacturers and possesses extensive expertise in the installation of swing gate mechanisms. LOWEDOORS recommends as the best and first-choice solution the top automation company BFT of the SOMFY group. Each mechanism has specific features and characteristics designed to meet any customer desire.
