Roller motors

In a roller shutter with spring compensation, the motor is positioned at the center of the axle. The axle remains stationary, and the outer drum of the motor rotates to raise and lower the shutter.

It should be emphasized that a motor comfortably lifts a roller shutter when the springs are in good condition and adequately compensate for the weight. It is possible that a motor rated for heavier loads may have been installed, but if it operates with broken springs without repair, it poses a risk. This is because it puts undue stress on the motor and increases the likelihood of the roller shutter falling unexpectedly if operated manually without springs. The springs are crucial to the roller shutter’s operation and ensure the long-term sustainability of the motor. The motors consist of the rim, the main body and the motor and of the electric brake when it is present.
